This policy explains how teamquarters collects, uses, shares, and protects information when FTC teams use the service. teamquarters is intended for people aged 13 or older.
Information we collect
- Account information such as your name, email address, password credentials managed by Supabase Auth, profile colour, optional profile photo, timezone, and currency preference.
- Optional contact details such as phone number and Discord username.
- Team content such as memberships, roles, tasks, comments, announcements, events, resources, purchase requests, income entries, budget totals, invitations, reactions, and uploaded files.
- Support information such as feedback text, selected team, current page, browser details, and submission time.
- Technical and security information generated by our hosting, authentication, email, and storage providers.
How information is used
We use information to provide team collaboration features, authenticate accounts, deliver invitations and account emails, secure and troubleshoot the service, answer support requests, and improve teamquarters. We do not sell personal information or use it for behavioural advertising.
Who can see information
Members of a shared team can see team workspace content, basic profiles, purchase requests, income entries, and the team’s budget summary. Optional phone and Discord details are limited to you and coaches on shared teams. A profile or team image uses a public file URL, so it should not contain sensitive information. Invitation emails are visible to the invited recipient.
Service providers
teamquarters relies on Supabase for authentication, database, and some file storage; Vercel for application hosting; Cloudflare R2 for private uploaded-file storage when enabled; Resend for transactional email; and the official FTC Events API for public event information. These providers process limited information needed to operate their services under their own terms and privacy practices, potentially outside your province, state, or country.
Cookies and device storage
Authentication uses essential session cookies. Your browser also stores your theme and last selected team so those preferences remain available on the same device. teamquarters does not use advertising cookies.
Retention and deletion
Account and team information is kept while it is needed to operate teamquarters. Unpinned announcements and notifications are removed after 90 days, while security audit entries are removed after 30 days. Pinned announcements remain until they are unpinned or deleted. Deleting a team removes its workspace data. Leaving a team removes your access, but content contributed to the shared workspace may remain for the team.
You can request account deletion from Profile settings. Eligible requests are automatically processed after a 30-day grace period once the account has no team memberships. Shared content may be retained without your profile identity where needed for team continuity, legal obligations, security, or backups maintained temporarily by service providers.
